WHY EVERYONE HAS GROWN TO LOVE COASTERS

Whoosh – and you have already passed by a large billboard. At the press of a button, the ad on the car radio is zapped away and where some mailings end up – its good that we don´t always know…
Swift Research Ltd. discovered the following in the “Creative Brand Communications with Coasters” study:

  • 75 % of those asked perceived coasters as a non-intrusive
    advertising medium – ultimately you come across them in a relaxed atmosphere during a convivial get-together in a bar or restaurant
  • 51 % would be happy to see more advertising on coasters
  • 48 % always read the advertising content on coasters
  • 45 % find coaster advertising attracts their attention. They handle and read advertising coasters and even take them home – a real challenge to creative people on the lookout for a range of different design opportunities

What this study did not establish (you cannot think of everything): coasters are likeable, sexy, normally look good – and if not, at least they are amusing, cost-effective and refreshingly different.
